How to Draw a Base for Your Drawing

When starting a Drawing Base it is important to have a good base to work from. This will help you to achieve the correct proportions and perspective. To draw a basic ground line start by drawing a horizon line. This should be a horizontal line across your paper. Then add a vertical line down the center of your paper. This will be your centerline. From the centerline draw two lines perpendicular to the horizon line one on each side. These lines will be your vanishing points. Once you have your vanishing points you can start drawing in your ground line. This should be a horizontal line that goes from one side of the paper to the other. It should intersect with the centerline and the horizon line at the vanishing points.

If you want to start drawing but feel unsure of how to get started try using a simple base. A base is a general outline of the subject you want to draw and it can be as simple or as complex as you like. Once you have your base you can start adding details to make your drawing more realistic. To draw a base for your drawing start by sketching out the general shape of the subject with light pencil strokes. Next add any major details such as the eyes nose and mouth. Finally fill in any smaller details such as the pupils of the eyes and the lines in the mouth. Remember to keep your pencil strokes light so that you can erase them later if necessary.

If you want to start drawing but don’t know where to begin start by creating a basic foundation or “base” for your drawing. This can be done by drawing a simple geometric shape such as a square rectangle circle or triangle. Once you have your basic shape drawn you can then begin to add details to it such as shading texture lines etc. To make your drawing look more realistic try to use light and dark shading to create depth and dimension. You can also add highlight and shadow areas to give your drawing more interest and realism. With a little practice you’ll be able to create beautiful drawings that are both unique and eye-catching!

Assuming you want to know how to set up a basic drawing we will start with a pencil and a sheet of paper. You can use any type of pencil you want but for beginners it is recommended that you use a regular HB pencil. Start by lightly sketching out the basic outline of your subject. Once you have the outline complete start fleshing out the details. Be sure to go slowly and take your time. When you are finished you should have a detailed drawing that is ready to be colored or shaded Read More
