Make Family Days More “Artistic” With Oh My Melt Wax

Family days need to be fun and memorable. With a little creativity, you can incorporate some artistic elements into “oh my wax melts” and make something memorable with them. Among the most notable, and one of the safe wax soap activities with kids, is trying to make a real soap out of your “oh my melt wax”.

An interesting soap project for the youngsters.

A soap project for the youngsters is one that every parent will choose because it helps the kids learn the importance of washing their hands. The youth will also learn about the best ideas, which can help them create things that are important for the everyday lives of everyone. The best thing about the soap project using wax melt is that it employs simple and everyday equipment, and it’s also very safe for the kids.

Making soap that has toys inside.

This project is simple and entails making soap using melts that have little toys trapped inside. The kids will first work hard helping to make the soap, and then they will have to exercise their creativity to remove the toys that are holed up inside the soap. What a fun-filled and interesting project for the kids!

The requirements.

  • Silicone soap molds.
  • small toys
  • Pour in the soap and clear melt.
  • Isopropyl alcohol (not mandatory).
  • soap scents and essential oils.
  • Liquid soap dye (this is optional).
  • A sharpened knife,
  • A boiler or a glass microwave container.

Procedure.

Step 1. Cut the ice into cubes.

Fill the cubes with clear melt and cut them into cubes. These cubes should be about one inch square in size, but it shouldn’t worry you if the sizes are not perfect. The reason for cutting them smaller is to ensure that they can easily melt inside the microwave.

Step 2: Place it in a microwave-safe measuring cup.

Put some soap blocks inside the microwave container, which you will pour into a mold. A bar or several bars can be okay all at once. Especially if you are interested in experimenting with different colors or scents, you can do it one at a time. However, if you want to move faster, making a bigger batch will be okay. If you microwave the soap, be careful not to burn it.

Step 3: Spoon the soap into the molds.

Do this to the halfway mark. Silicon molds are easier and better to work with than the plastic versions. Alternatively, you may also use muffin pans, depending on what interests you.

Step 4: Melt and pour the remaining soap.

Melt the soap and add whatever color or other additives you want. These may include scents and essential oils. In some instances, the toys will float, while for some, they will remain inside the melted wax.

Step 5: Allow it to cool.

Let the soap cool and pop it out. Your kids will have a blast washing their hands with wax melt soap that they helped make while looking for the little toys that form part of the soap.

Conclusion

Family fun days with the kids need to be hilarious and interesting. Making soaps using wax melts is just one of those interesting tasks for your family. It is safe, memorable and full of fun!
